Houston Immigration Appeals Attorney
Trust Your Appellate Case to The Modi Law Firm
Just because a final order of
removal has been instituted against you, it does not mean your case is hopeless.
In fact, there are several options that The Modi Law Firm may be able
to pursue on your behalf in order to help you stay in the United States.
For example, we may be able to file the following:
- Administrative Appeals Before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Petitions for Review in the U.S. Courts of Appeals
- Petition for Certiorari Decisions in the U.S. Supreme Court
All of the above are options that we will gladly review to determine if
they are beneficial in your case.
About the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
One of the most common ways in which our law firm can pursue appellate
immigration work is through the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), which
is the highest administrative body regarding immigration law. In most
cases, appeals brought to the BIA are conducted via a "paper review";
however, in some cases, the BIA may hear an oral argument—usually
at their Falls Church headquarters. It is the BIA's responsibility
to hear appeals for decisions from immigration judges and the Department
of Homeland Security's district directors.
