Attorney Modi’s past colleague and current collaborator on firm cases, Professor Geoffrey Hoffman, was featured on Houston Public Media to discuss his views on President Trump’s immigration policies. Professor Hoffman is the Director of the Immigration Clinic at the University of Houston Law Center. During the segment, Professor Hoffman talked about his interpretation on Trump’s first speech to Congress.

He noted that Trump had left out a key part of the speech which had been discussed in a private meeting with reporters earlier that day. During this earlier conference, Trump was said to have discussed a pathway to legalization for noncitizens. Professor Hoffman believes that even though Trump used forceful language regarding the border and internal enforcement during the speech that he may be on board for comprehensive immigration reform.
