Judge Blocks Trump's End Of Protections For 1.1 Million Haitians & Venezuelans
A recent federal court decision blocked President Trump’s attempt to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 1.1 million Haitians and Venezuelans living in the United States. LiveNOW, FOX’s national streaming channel, invited immigration attorney and former law professor Susham M. Modi to explain the ruling. Modi noted that the judge found the administration acted unlawfully in stripping TPS protections and violated statutory law. He also outlined how this case differs from prior rulings against the Trump administration, why it is likely to reach the Supreme Court, and why it is critical for individuals currently holding TPS to seek guidance from an immigration attorney before the decision is potentially overturned.
